Features User Permissions

User Permissions

Easily manage users and permissions for your forms, themes, and submissions.

Keep form folders & permissions organized with user permissions

As your business grows, there will be an increasing demand for more forms and data. Formstack's Permissions feature can help you stay in control by letting you manage users and permissions across your entire account.

Control access to specific forms, templates, and submissions on multiple levels, including:

Global Permissions
Allow users to build forms, create templates, or have full admin access to your account.

Folder Permissions
Grant permission for a user to edit or view forms that are in a specific folder.

Form Permissions
Give people access to individual forms that are relevant to their role or department.

Theme Permissions
Efficiently collaborate on form design by setting permissions for individual theme templates.

How It Works

To manage users and permissions, click on the user’s name under Users. This will take you to a page where you can edit the user’s information and permissions. There are three different permission levels you can set for your forms:

  • Read: Your users can view, search, and download submitted data for the selected form.
  • Write: Your users can view, search, download, and edit submitted data for a selected form.
  • Full: Your users have complete access to data, HTML, and settings for the selected form.

These settings can vary depending on whether you want to set permissions at the folder or theme level. For more in-depth information, check out this Help article.
