- The numbering system is often segmented into 3 sections: [Model Number] - [Engine Type Number] - [Code Number]
- Your model number will be either 6, 7, 11 or 12 characters in length
On the Product: - Model numbers are located in different areas on the product - sometimes on the frame, base, or elsewhere. Use our visual guides for reference
- The numbering system is often segmented into 2 sections: [Model Number] - [Revision Number]
- Your model number will be 6 characters in length + the revision number

Push Mower Some push mower engines come with a cover or "shroud". Regardless of your cover, the engine model number will be in one of 3 locations: Above the spark plug On the front of engine Above the muffler
Riding Mower Some riding mower engines come with a cover or "shroud". Regardless of your cover, the engine model number will be in one of 2 locations: On the valve cover stamped on the metal plate over the overhead valve (OHV) On an aluminum tag located on top of the blower housing right next to the rotating screen
