Available Scholarships
KCTCS Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonel Scholarship
- Provides funds for students in the amount of $2500 per year for full-time attendance in pursuit of a KCTCS associate degree. Eligible candidates a must be a single working parent with at least one child under the age of 12. The student must have unmet financial need demonstrated by FAFSA and demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and potential for academic success. The scholarship is renewable for a second year if the awardees maintain full-time enrollment and satisfactory academic progress toward the completion of their degree.
KCTCS John T. Smith Scholarship
- Provides funds to minority students attending as at least a half time student, maintain a 2.5 GPA. Applicants must have unmet financial need demonstrated by FAFSA.
KCTCS Workforce Development & Transfer Scholarship
- Available to a student enrolled in a STEM (science, technology, engineering or math), allied health, applied science, career pathway program or education. Student must be seeking and associate degree and be planning to transfer to a four-year institution to seek a bachelor degree.
N.O. Kimbler Memorial Scholarship:
- Available to a WKCTC student pursuing a career in teaching. Must be a currently enrolled student and have maintained a 3.0 GPA. Financial need considered.
Vel Lynn Pace Memorial Scholarship
- Available to a WKCTC student who has earned a GED through Ballard County Adult Education Program.
Shirley Trail Lanier Scholarship in memory of Leroy & Gladys Followell Trail
- Available to a student enrolled in the WKCTC Cosmetology program. Student should demonstrate financial need and have a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or above.
G. Leon Williams Scholarship
- Available to a student studying humanities.
Western Rivers Corporation Scholarship
- Available to a resident of McCracken County and a graduate of McCracken County High School who demonstrates leadership abilities.
John C. Leeper Scholarship
- Available to a pre-chiropractic studies student. NOTE: Applicant must provide statement of mentorship from a certified chiropractor. Download form from the WKCTC scholarship Web site.
Leadership Paducah Scholarship
- Available to residents of McCracken, Ballard, Carlisle, Graves, Marshall, Livingston and Massac counties. Must be at least 21 years of age, have completed a minimum of 12 hours and demonstrate financial need. NOTE: Minimum GPA is 2.50.
Charles A. Saladino Scholarship
Available to a current high school senior who is a graduate of a high school in McCracken County.
