Formstack Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary

Decade of empowering businesses to make smart decisions through form data results in company growth, elite company culture

INDIANAPOLIS (March 9, 2016) – Formstack, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company that helps businesses collect data through a suite of powerful online form tools, is celebrating 10 years in operation.

Created to provide a simple data capture solution, Formstack has evolved into a platform dedicated to helping users from all industries easily manage data, improve internal workflows (such as procurement, compliance and safety verification), and better engage with customers. Formstack initially received funding in 2009 from Gravity Ventures, a firm that also backed local Indianapolis tech companies like Lesson.ly, Bluebridge, Tinderbox and Compendium.

While 90 percent of startups fail, Formstack has experienced continued profitability. Within the first year, the company saw more than 1,200 percent year-over-year revenue growth as it rapidly increased its user base. In the past decade, the Formstack product has grown to include over 500,000 users in 110 countries, and the company continues to report positive annual revenue growth. In 2015, Formstack reported a 125 percent increase in new revenue from its highest paid subscription plan.

With just under 80 employees, Formstack has experienced notable team expansion since its inception in 2006, including 102 percent workforce growth last year. The current Formstack family includes as many remote employees as it does Indianapolis team members, with 50 percent of its workforce living in regions across the U.S, as well as Canada, Poland and the Netherlands.

Formstack celebrated its 10-year anniversary at the Indianapolis Speak Easy on March 8 and is holding an anniversary webinar for current customers and partners on March 18.
