Have you been the Formstack equivalent of David Hasselhoff in “Baywatch,” scanning the beaches for danger? Logging into your account to make sure you haven’t sold too many tickets to your event? We’re happy to announce that you can put down your rescue buoy and red swim trunks. With our new “Event” field, you can set a maximum number of tickets available, which means you can’t oversell an event.
All you need to do is drag and drop the “Event” field into your form builder, and start adding details about your event. You can include a picture, set flat or variable ticket prices, and indicate your ticket maximum. And if you sell out (a great problem to have!) you have several options.
Mark as “Sold Out”
When your event has sold all available tickets, you can mark the event as “Sold Out” so new customers will see that tickets are no longer available. This option is especially helpful if you have variable ticket prices so customers aren’t confused as to why an option has “disappeared.”
Hide the Field
You can also also choose to hide the field when you have no more tickets available. Then, the event information is still visible but no tickets can be purchased.
Hide the Form
Additionally, you can deactivate the whole form when the event has sold out; this is done through Settings > General > Deactivate Form settings. Only use this one if you’ve thought it through: you want to be sure this won’t be confusing to customers who might want to buy tickets but are too late.
