Great customers are, of course, the most important asset when running any size of business, especially a small one. They are the most loyal and the most likely to tell others about your business or product.

One of the main advantages that a small business has over its large competitors is the ability to provide excellent personalized customer service. Once they know they can contact you with any issues they encounter at a moment’s notice, it really adds to your business and you can easily win over potential customers.

If you are currently running or starting a small business, here are five tips for making sure that you provide the best possible customer service:

1. Build a relationship with your customer base and try to make every single customer feel like they are an important part of your business (because they are!)

2. Provide an email newsletter for all of your customers to keep them informed of special offers and new products. Simply start up an email marketing campaign with a service like MailChimp or Constant Contact and you’re good to go.

3. One of the best ways to ensure that you are providing the best possible customer service is to continuously evaluate yourself. Look and see what you can do better and possibly ask your customers to fill out an online form.

4. Make sure that you give back to the community in some way. Don’t forget that the entire local community is your main target market.

5. Respond to customer questions or complaints quickly and make sure you’re easily contactable.

Remember, if it wasn’t for your customers, you wouldn’t have a business – so treat them well!
