Last week, we introduced our brand new landing page product and we couldn’t be more excited for everyone to try it out! For the next few weeks, we’ll be informing you about landing pages and how you can benefit from them.
If you are new to using landing pages, they are pages on a website where traffic is sent specifically to prompt a certain action or result. A good landing page will be targeted to a particular stream of traffic – say from an email campaign or creating leads, but the possibilities are endless.
The basic purpose of a landing page is to motivate, to inform, to persuade and to sell the product or service to the visitor that landed there. To begin constructing your landing page, you need to consider landing page structure, your words, and your keywords in the total mix.
Start to brainstorm ideas and the next thing you know, you’ll be using a landing page during your next social media campaign or for an online advertisement. They are not only critical to organic search engine marketing, but also for press releases and just about all Internet marketing efforts.
Here are a few tips on keeping your information informative and clean on your landing page:
- Place the most important information above the fold.
- Avoid distracting material in the sidebars. If the information in the sidebars distracts the visitor – focus is lost and that could mean a lost sale.
- Add pictures or a form only if it is relevant to do so, but be careful about size.
- Put your “Call to Action” above the fold, at the end, and balanced throughout the length of your text.
With the new Formstack landing page product, you will be able to create custom landing pages, build your landing page on a custom domain, plus acquire more storage for your upcoming projects.
