As we celebrate Earth Day today there are a number of things you can do to make an impact on the planet. It’s a great day to reflect on the things you do and the initiatives you can be taking to help save the Earth. There are many small steps that you can take to help get you started including: start recycling for the first time, turn off your lights, carpool to work, use your own grocery bags at the store, or vow to not print many pages, and much more.
At Formstack we all have blue recycling containers in our offices to remind us to recycle everyday but for today we put an additional can in our conference room to remind everyone to recycle their cans at lunch. A small but easy step!
Another easy way for your organization to get involved is to take all of your paper forms and turn them into online forms. With Formstack, you can build any type of online form you want. Build event registrations, surveys, order forms, job applications, staff evaluations, time sheets, and much more! Just think about how many trees you can save by getting rid of your paper forms, and not to mention lots of money too! Conservatree says that 24 trees are used to make 1 ton of paper. This may sound like a lot of paper, but I guarantee you use more than this in one year if you are still using paper forms.
A great example of one of our customers reducing their impact is Victor Valley College, a 2 year higher educational institution located in California. They save over $7,447 per month just by using Formstack for all of their online forms. Since they started using online forms, all of their departments have reduced their carbon footprint and have gone green.
