We had the great opportunity of attending the Master’s of Business Online on Tuesday and came away with an awesome amount of useful information. We already wrote a post about their great use of online forms, but we wanted to recap some of the great information we learned yesterday.
Not many people think of the Midwest as a hot spot for tech and online marketing but there were many smart and highly engaging presenters. Blogging enthusiast and local entrepreneur Chris Baggot kicked off the day with a great presentation about how you can leverage blogging in the battle of search optimization. He showed how his company is leveraging the power of blogs to help companies get started with their corporate blogging.
One of the more interesting presentations was on PayPer Click advertising hosted by conference coordinator Jim Brown. Jim owns a company called Ever Effect that helps companies manage their PPC campaigns. Jim gave some great insights on how to get your campaign rolling and the importance of testing to make sure you get the results you want out of your paid search efforts.
One of the sessions we missed was by Social Media Explorer’s Jason Falls. Jason works for the agency that developed the incredible Maker’s Mark Ambassador program, and is heavily involved in exploring social media and how it can help a company get connected to its customers. (Speaking of social media – do you follow Formstack on Twitter?)
This just scratched the surface of what was available yesterday. Everything from landing pages to online PR, to analytics was offered. If you are local to Indianapolis or even in some of the surrounding region I would highly suggest making a trip to the Circle City for next year’s MBO Conference – it will be well worth your time!
